Albert Joseph Holtom was a founding member of the 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, having permanently attached to them from the Army Catering Corps upon their formation (as the 2nd Parachute Battalion) in September 1941.

This blog investigates all the possible historical avenues that Albert might have taken during the Second World War by retracing the steps of the 2nd Battalion, The Parachute Regiment, from their formation through to the ill-fated "Bridge Too Far" in September 1944.
